Here are some of the sketches I've done so far. The design isn't final (by far), I'll most likely get through 4 or more revisions of the shape before getting the nuts to cut out a router template!
Have decided the woods though; Brazilian mahogany with a deep chocolate stain for the main body. A book matched herringbone inlay and brass (no expense spared :p) details. The neck is from a birds eye maple with an ebony fretboard, with undecided marker materials.
Using 2 humbuckers with this but not chosen the machine heads yet.
Nothing is final as I said.. It could change completely before I get to the cutting!

Going to make some guitars!

So, Ive got the chance to start off a project making some guitars in my shed (the garden cupboard). I know nothing about this of course, other than watching a few youtube movies. I have my list of materials and tools written up plus ive drawn a 1:1 plan of a body and peghead shape I designed. Next stop the tool stores.!
Wish me luck and if I stuff it all up too badly I'll be selling some really posh mahogany toilet seats soon! ;)
Ill post a picture log of my progress if anyone is interested.
